Studio Reizundrisiko, is the Berneck, Switzerland studio by Samuel Bänziger. His work is quite eccentric and reminds me of early 20th century design. The use of black and white photos, coarse halftone screens, and layouts. His typography is also very interesting and has some really unique work.

Chrissie Abbott, is an illustrator who lives and works out of East London. Her work is very trippy and seems to follow some of the aesthetics of the hippy psychedelic movement. She makes great use of collaged imagery and vivid colours.

This is a poster I designed last year. The objective was to create a poster that reflected the time period in which the type designer lived/lives in. I decided to use Gotham which was also the typeface they used for the Obama campaign. Hoefler text is used in the bottom two columns, these two column list the typeface and year in which the font was created by Hoefler and Frere Jones. Hoefler is from New York so I also decided to include a New York skyline and an American style colour pallette.

Faith, is typographer Paul Sych’s creative outlet. His site is full of rich typographic explorations. The way he illustrates with type reminds me of the great Herb Lubalin and that’s no small compliment.

Hoefler & Frere-Jones recently introduced a new typeface to their already large library. Tungsten is a stylish mid-century san-serif font in four weights.

I created two posters for our Historic Type Poster assignment in school. The posters were to take elements of the design movements and show some elements of the previous movements, while portraying a dichotomy. This one portrays the Bauhaus movement with the dichotomy of ‘Disciplined Chaos’. The other poster was based on the International Typeface Corporation and the dichotomy of ‘Love War’.
An amazing non-CG typographic short by the Brigham Young University design students and faculty, for the 5th Typophile Film Festival. The music complements the visuals very nicely. This is a fantastic presentation.
