Artless is the work of Toyko artist, Shun Kawakami. He has done a lot of imagery for WOW Tokyo as well as some exhibition work for galleries. His approach is very expressive in nature and has a striking visual presence.

Studio Reizundrisiko, is the Berneck, Switzerland studio by Samuel Bänziger. His work is quite eccentric and reminds me of early 20th century design. The use of black and white photos, coarse halftone screens, and layouts. His typography is also very interesting and has some really unique work.

Frank Stockton is an illustrator based out of Brooklyn, New York. He has done illustrations for a lot of major magazines; The New Yorker, the New York Times, Esquire, Playboy and Rolling Stone. He’s got a blog where he actually runs you through his process a bit which is very useful to see. He uses a wide range of mediums which is refreshing to see.

Astrid Stavro is a multi-disciplinary design and communication consultancy firm based out of Barcelona, Spain. Their work ranges from corporate identities, promotions, book collection design, displays, marketing, signage and applied graphics to PLV, merchandising, branding and web design. Their work is mainly typography based and tends to be very clean without excessive details.

WOW Tokyo / 11.22.09 Motion Graphics

WOW is a motion graphic studio based out of Tokyo, Japan. They do a lot of interactive motion graphic installations for different showings. They “aim to create and design sensational, yet timeless work that is free from fashionable trends.” If you’re interested you can also check out their YouTube page.

Barcelona designer Alex Prieto has some great conceptual ideas as well as good use of colour and pattern.

This video is as stated, quite dream-like. Having checked out a few of the videos on the site, I can honestly say that there is some pretty inspiring work in the portfolio of Murat Pak. Also, check out the Turkish band, Mercan Dede, featured in this clip.

Street Etiquette is another fashion blog in a sea of fashion blogs. Street Etiquette is Joshua “JKISSI” Kissi and Travis “Trav” Gumbs, they reside in the Bronx, NYC. What makes these guys unique is that there is apparently no scene in that area looking like this, their style is something unique for the people of this area. They offer critiques on various looks in all price ranges and they aren’t afraid to shop at low end stores as well.
